Dual core MSI wind desktop
I have two of these new units and i am able to run OS X on them no problem, they work exactly the same way, just faster. You install the same way, nothing is different, you can even take the hard drive out of the older wind and put it in the new one and it will work fine.

Thank you for the tutorial on the MSI Nettop. I am looking for a cheap Mac OS X server and the MSI has caught my eye...
I have a question: You mention in the instalation tutorial that USB 2/HiSpeed (480mpbs) cannot be enabled in the BIOS. Does this mean that, even after install, USB stays at 12mbps?
Thanks again.
Nicolas
The new bios from msi no longer has this problem, you should have no problem.
Have you managed to get the antenna working? I was thinking I might get the cheaper model, which presumably runs less hot. But if the wifi actually works, that would be tempting.
@ noise: I set up one of these machines. The antenna on these nettop barebones (heres the link on newegg)
is just an antenna. it's lead wuns inside into a suspension coupling and the wire runs to where the mini pci bus is. That said. if you get one of the realtek or dell mini pci wireless cards that the netbook hackintosh guys like, you should be in business.
I run MacOSX on the MSI Wind desktop 330 and everything is working perfectly except two apps:
CodeWeaver & VMWare Fuzion.
They both complain about Quartz. Here's the log from VM Fuzion:
NOT_REACHED bora/mks/main/mksQuartz.c:1282
A log file is available in "/Users/monettes/Documents/Virtual Machines.localized/Windows 2000 Professional.vmwarevm/vmware.log".
Has anyone seen this problem and found a fix for it?
